Add a vaporizer or humidifier in your home to introduce moisture into the air. Taking a shower or bath can make your kids feel better when they experience cold and flu symptoms such as a scratchy throat and nasal congestion.

4. Get plenty of rest.

When they’ve got a cold or flu, there’s no substitute for taking it easy and getting lots of rest. They can also relax with a good book or movie!
